We are a half hour from the Appalachian Trail, 50 minutes from the the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, 1 hour from Richmond, 2 hours from Williamsburg and Jamestown, and 3 hours from Washington, D.C.

The rental car companies are: National Car Rental and Avis located at the airport. Others include: Enterprise, Budget, Alamo, located nearby (shuttle provided).

If you are renting a car, another option is to fly into Washington D.C. Dulles airport (IAD) and rent your car. You will have a 3-hour drive from D.C. to The Porches, but more than likely you will save money on the airline ticket.
